Toyota Innova Hycross Booking Paused Again? Unable to Meet the Demand

Toyota Innova Hycross

Japanese carmaker Toyota has halted bookings for its top-selling car, the Innova Hycross, yet again. The bookings have been halted for the ZX and ZX(O) models. The reason behind this halt is the overwhelming numbers received since its launch, which the brand has not been able to fully achieve.

However, a little while ago, Toyota had opted for the same strategy during the pre-booking period of the Innova Hycross. Currently, the waiting period for the existing VX and VX(O) stands at about 14 months. The waiting period for the non-hybrid petrol models stands at about 6 months. Much recently, Toyota has also hiked the prices of the Hycross, hoping that this would have people turn their way from the MPV.

  • The 2.0-litre pure petrol engine puts out 172 hp with a peak torque of 209 NM while mated to a CVT gearbox.
  • To fulfil the ongoing high demand, Toyota also launched another non-hybrid GX(O) variant, which is currently priced at Rs 20.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
