Not too long ago, a 3D design print of the MG Astor got leaked revealing quite a few details about the upcoming Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate and Maruti Suzuki Vitara rival and now within a few days of the design being leaked, real-life images of the production-spec model have surfaced the internet.
The all-new MG Astor facelift is scheduled to launch in India shortly, and with the looks of its new and upgraded design language, it seems that this time MG is all set to take on its existing and future rivals by force.
- Looking at the leaked images, the new Astor looks rather ravishing in its new bold avatar. Now, without waiting any more time let’s get into the specifications on the new features of the MG Astor facelift.
- staring from the front, we get to see a completely redesigned front bumper along with a brand new diamond mesh grille. Reprofiled headlamps then flank these to elements. giving it a closer look, you can also see a blue strip which stretches across the front fascia.
- moving towards the rear, it looks quite similar to the existing model, It seems that MG has retained the design value of the previous model just for the rear section. However, it does get a slightly redesigned rear bumper, roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp and a new rear wiper.
- We also get to see a completely new set of dual-tone alloy wheels on the same.
- The spied images also provide a slight glimpse of how the interior on the MG Astor facelift would look like.
- We do get to see an all-black cabin, dual screen setup, a 3 spoke steering wheel, a redesigned gear lever and an electronic parking brake.
- The power specification on the updated MG Astor still remains unknown. The current model supports a 1.5-litre NA petrol mill along with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
