It has kind of been the news of the past of Mahindra working on an electric variant of the brand’s most iconic full-size SUV, the XUV700. Now and then we also get to see spy shots of the Mahindra XUV700 EV being tested on Indian roads.
But now it seems that Mahindra has finally ramped up the production and process as recently the homegrown brand has filed a patent on the headlight design and technology which will be featured on the soon-to-launch Mahindra XUV700 EV.
- As seen on many test modules and the concept itself, the all-new Mahindra XUV700 EV will make use of the C-shaped lighting elements.
- These new headlamps boast a C-Shape head unit, integrated with ice-cube LED lights.
- These new design elements give the XUV700 EV a futuristic look.
- It is also very prominent to see Mahindra working so rigorously on amplifying its existing design language, as now it has become very boring to see those circular headlamps of the Mahindra Thar.
- Looking at the competition in the EV market, this could turn out to be a game-changer for Mahindra.
- The overall look of the XUV700 will see a dynamic change and will not resemble the likes of the existing model.
- All Mahindra EVs are based on the advanced INGLO platform.
- The Mahindra XUV700 EV is expected to come equipped with a 60-kWh battery pack alongside a single motor, in the FWD format.
- However, the top-end variants are expected to be offered with dual-motor option and an AWD setup.
- These higher variants will also hold a battery of 80kWh with an expected range of 400-500 km.
