Hero turns 30, and to commemorate this Hero has launched a brand new variant of its hot seller, The Hero Splendor+ Xtec at just Rs 82,911 ( Ex-showroom). This new variant happens to be exactly Rs 3,000 more expensive than the Splendor Xtec. So without any further ado let’s have a look at what wall we get in the special anniversary edition of India’s most fuel-efficient bike, The Hero Splendor.
- It is the first two-wheeler in its segment to get a full LED headlamp setup with integrated H-shaped LED DRLs.
- We also get to see the same H-shaped LED setup on the rear as well.
- The Splendor+ Xtec also get a new set of body graphics which also acts as a differentiator from its predecessor.
- We now get too 3 new dual-tone shades- Gloss Red, Gloss Black, and Matte Grey.
- Coming down to its feature list, it gets the same full LED instrument cluster along with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, idle start/stop, side stand engine cut off feature, and an electric starter has been retrained from its predecessor.
- So, the only notable changes are the graphics and the 30th Anniversary badge.
- No changes have been made on the mechanical front as well and it still draws power from the same 97.2cc petrol engine which pushes 8.02PS at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm at 6,000rpm while mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
- The bike continues to offer a mileage of 73kmpl.
- The Hero Splendor Xtec+ comes with a 80/100-18M/C 47P front tubeless tyres and 80/100-18M/C 54P rear tubeless tyres.
- While its suspension setup remains the same conventional telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and a swingarm with 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers.
- Now, coming to its rivals, with this new anniversary edition, it still continues to rival the likes of the Hero Passion Plus, Honda Shine 100, and TVS Radeon.
