Yamaha has launched the third version of their 150cc bike, the Yamaha FZS. The updated 2022 Yamaha FZS is now priced at Rs. 1,15,900 while a new variant, the Deluxe variant, comes at a premium of Rs. 1,18,900.
2022 Yamaha FZS: Are there any changes at the mechanical front?
No, there are no changes at all! Yamaha FZS V3 gets the same 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that churns out 12.4ps @7,250rpm and a peak torque of 13.3Nm @5,500rpm. The FZS comes with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. There are no changes on the dimensions front too!
So, what are the changes?
The Yamaha FZS V3 gets Bluetooth as standard. This adds Rs.1,000 to the price as compared to the 2021 FZS variant equipped with Bluetooth. You also get to see a new LED tail-lamp. Apart from that, the FZS V3 is now available in just two color options, Matte Blue and Matte Red.
The V3 gets an all-new variant which goes by the name, Deluxe. The Deluxe variant gets LED blinkers, which the company will install at dealerships at no extra cost. The DLX variant also gets new graphic schemes and colored wheels.
Apart from these, there are no major changes in the 150cc bike.
2022 Yamaha FZS V3: Price and Rivals
Yamaha has priced the FZS aggressively. The FZS will cost you Rs. 1,15,900 (Ex-showroom) for the base variant and Rs. 1,18,900 for the Deluxe variant. It will lock horns with the likes of Hero Xtreme 160, TVS Apache RTR160, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, and Suzuki Gixxer 160.
