Unique Features Of Mahindra XUV700

A few days from now, you might see me writing or rather obsessing over Mahindra XUV700. Well, the proposition offered by Indian SUVmaker is such that I cannot stop me writing about it. A price that takes on a big chunk of cars currently in India, a power-packed powertrain, and what not! For those who are still wondering why everyone is so obsessed over the Mahindra XUV700, here is a list of 8 features that you won’t be able to find on cars, even under ₹22 lakhs. Let the rush begin.

  1. Dual-HD Screen setup with AdrenoX

    Dual-HD Screen | Mahindra XUV700 Features

You must have seen the large infotainment screens in Creta or Seltos. They have a good instrument cluster too. But what if you get a straight panel behind the steering wheel that holds both the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and the 10.25-inch instrument cluster? Mahindra XUV700 gets a dual-HD screen setup that gives you a feel of sitting in an ultra-premium car along with the plush interiors. Moreover, you get Mahindra’s AdrenoX connected platform with Alexa built-in.

  2. Flush door handles or the Smart door handles

Mahindra XUV700 Gets Smart Door Handles

Not as superior as the Range Rover Velar but too good to be true in a car under ₹20 lakhs for sure. Mahindra XUV700 boasts smart door handles that Anand Mahindra himself wanted in the car with such an impressive styling. He said, “Why ruin the design by installing obsolete door handles?”

  3. ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE (AWD): ALL CAPS!

Gets AWD! | Mahindra XUV700 Features

Now, I might be saying this again but when Tata launched the Safari with a 2WD option only, a lot of fans were disappointed. The hope of getting an AWD under ₹20 lakhs except the Mahindra Thar vanished. But, here comes the 14th of August and we get to know that XUV700 will be offered with an AWD option too! Isn’t that too good to be true? Looks like Mahindra is not joking when they say that they are the true SUV makers. In a herd of pseudo SUVs, Mahindra brings along a range of SUVs that inspire the youth to feel the rush.

  4. Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS)

    ADAS

The first car in India to have ADAS is the MG Gloster. It starts at a price of around ₹30 lakhs. But, Mahindra decided to be the berserker for pseudo-SUVs and decided to equip the top-spec variant of XUV700 with ADAS. What comes with this is a host of features like:

    • Adaptive Cruise Control
    • High Beam Assist
    • Traffic Sign Recognition (No more challans for overspeeding)
    • Front Collision Warning
    • Automatic emergency braking
    • Lane keep assist
    • Smart pilot assist
  5. Memory seat with retracting feature

Mahindra XUV700 gets memory function with retracing seat

The power-adjustable driver seat is too mainstream. Mahindra decided to step a notch above and add a retractable seat option which makes the seat go back a bit for you to enter easily and return back to your desired position. An ultra-luxury feature found in high-end cars.

  6. Curtain Airbags, even for the third row

    Curtain airbags in XUV700

While the carmakers are reluctant to provide more than 2-3 airbags, Mahindra decided to add 7 airbags to the top-spec variant with a curtain airbag so long that it can protect the occupants in the third row. Now that’s what you call proper cushioning! Other than that, you get safety features like driver drowsiness alert, alert in your loved one’s voices, 360-degree camera, and more along with all the features that you can expect from a car under ₹20 lakhs.

  7. Mahindra XUV700 gets a customizable Driving Mode

    Drive modes in XUV700

It has become a ritual to provide drive modes like City, Sport, etc in cars, especially SUVs. Mahindra came up with some cool names for the modes: Zip, Zap, and Zoom. But this is not the end. You can customize a driving mode of your choice too. Now that is a feature that no other car, even under ₹30 lakhs has to offer.

  8. Mahindra XUV700 comes with Torque Vectoring

    Torque Vectoring

In an AWD car, it is essential to distribute torque between the wheels adequately for better steering and handling. While the Limited Slip Differential does a good job by mechanically limiting the slip experienced by a wheel under some circumstances, it’s 2021 and we do need something better. This is where Torque Vectoring comes in. This system will be able to properly distribute torque among the wheels at any given point by analyzing the conditions. Thus, it is an advanced feature that can improve the handling and steering ability giving you better control of the vehicle.

And that’s not all! Mahindra has added the segment’s largest panoramic glass roof in the XUV700 that it calls ‘Skyroof’ and many other features that you already know of. If Mahindra is able to deliver what they’ve promised, and deliver it on time, they’ve got a huge chunk of buyers coming their way. This is why I like to call it the Market Disruptor!
