All we can do is wait for the cars to launch. Till then, let’s take a look at 5 upcoming cars in India in 2021 that we are eagerly waiting for.

Mahindra XUV700
This Indian carmaker has a history of teasing people with an infinite number of car testing spy shots before actually launching the car. Take the case of Mahindra Thar 2020. And now in 2021, Mahindra has been aggressively testing the XUV700. Not only that, but Mahindra also revealed the name of their W601 project, the XUV700. The company has also listed the XUV700 on the main website, which means we can expect the launch anytime soon! -
Tata Altroz EV
Altroz has been one of the most successful current models of Tata Motors. In the Auto Expo 2020, one of the main cars that caught my eyes was the Altroz EV. The company already has Nexon EV in the SUV segment and Altroz will be the first in the hatchback segment from Tata. We can expect the same Ziptron electric powertrain that powers the Nexon EV. When launched, it is expected to be priced around ₹12 lakh. Other than that, most of the features will be shared with the ICE version of Altroz.

Skoda Octavia 2021
The Czech carmaker has already listed the Octavia 2021 on the website and the launch will happen this month. A sleeker exterior design & high quality and feature-rich interior are what we can expect from the Skoda Octavia 2021. Not only that, Octavia will have a more powerful 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine under the hood capable of producing 190hp of power. It will be mated to a 7-speed DCT.
- Force Gurkha
Currently, Mahindra Thar rules the segment. At the Auto Expo 2020, Force showcased Gurkha and since then, the cult followers are eagerly waiting for the launch. Force also showcased the special edition of Gurkha on the show. It is expected to have modern features such as a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay support. We can expect Gurkha to have a BS6-compliant 2.6-litre diesel engine under the hood. It will be offered in 4WD with manual differential locks while 2WD will also be at the offer.

As Tesla has announced that it will be coming to India, we expect Model S to be the first model to launch here. It has a massive range of up to 800kms and 0-100kmph in less than 1.99 seconds. It is one of the most successful Teslas and we are eagerly waiting for Tesla to start operations in India.
