Tata has launched a minor feature upgrade model for its Tata Safari. The mid-spec and top-spec variants will cost about ₹7000-₹12000 more due to the new feature upgrade. We can say that Tata Motors is trying to equip its cars well to rival well with the Mahindra XUV700 as we’ll be seeing its complete price reveal soon.
New Tata Safari Pricing
Now, the Tata Safari XT and XT+ variants will cost about ₹7,000 higher due to the feature upgrade. On the other hand, other higher models i.e. XZ, XZA, XZ+, and XZA+ will see a ₹12,000/- hike in price. So, now standard Tata Safari models will cost ₹14.99-₹22.14 Lakhs. The recently launched Gold Edition is priced at ₹21.90 Lakhs – ₹23.18 Lakhs.
What are the new updates in Tata Safari?
A feature Safari now comes equipped with is not provided by many automakers is an air purifier inside the car which is so customer-centric. The XZ, XZA, and other higher-spec models will feature android and apple wireless connectivity. These two are the only revisions made to the Safari models.

- 7.0-inch partly digital instrument cluster
- Terrain response modes
- Dimming rearview mirror
- Powered driver seat
- Xenon projector headlamp
Buyers wanting the panoramic sunroof can go for the higher variants XZ+ and XZA+ that offer an additional choice for choosing between the 6-seater or 7-seater model.
On the other hand, the recently revealed Safari Gold Edition features seat ventilation for first-row and second-row passengers, diamond-quilted genuine leather seats, and gold-colored accents inside and outside. The features such as wireless charger, wireless android, and apple connectivity, and air purifier all debuted with Gold Edition only. Then the automaker decided to provide them with the standard models as well.
Any Mechanical Change?
Only the equipment list has been updated a bit but no performance changes are announced as of now. For reference, Tata Safari is equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine capable of producing 170hp of power and 350Nm of torque. The buyers can choose between a 6-speed AMT or 6-speed manual transmission in this front-wheel-driven car.
Competition in-check: Tata Safari
Tata Safari is competing with its segment’s top cars like MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar. It will soon lock horns with the Mahindra XUV700 7-seater variant when it will start running on the roads.
