Tata Motors is going to reveal its most-awaited micro-SUV on October 4th, 2021. The automaker is yet to reveal the gearbox options, gearbox options, other variants, etc. Tata will reveal all the details of Tata Punch on the same day. The automaker may start the booking process on 4th October.
What’s New with the Tata Punch?
HBX concept has inspired Punch’s design. Most of the designed areas including the interior are majorly taken from the same concept. It features a humanity line grille and split headlamp set-up. It will be like a smaller version of the Harrier as it will sit below it.
Tata micro-SUV has a free-standing touchscreen and square-shaped AC vents. The dashboard and doors have white inserts on them. On the other hand, AC vents have different color inserts. The steering wheel and a bit of digital instrument cluster are shared with Tata’s own Altroz hatchback.
The company hasn’t said anything about the engine specifications yet but we can expect the Punch to be powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 83hp of power. It might come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or an option to choose an AMT gearbox may also be there. The automaker may also offer a turbo-petrol engine variant later to offer a higher-performance vehicle.
Tata Punch Bookings and Launch
The booking of Punch isn’t started yet but may start on the 4th of October. There are some dealers who are accepting the advance bookings for the new Punch, as per some reports. We may see an official announcement soon. The automaker might also reveal the prices of the all-new Tata Punch by mid-October.
Competition in-line
There will not be a direct competitor as of now for the new Punch. But it will be competing with the high-riding hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Ignis and compact SUVs like the Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. We can expect Tata Punch to cost around Rs. 5,00,000-6,00,000.
