Tata Nexon, the company’s best-selling model has received a price hike of up to Rs. 15,000! This is in line with the range across price hikes this year. But, do note, Nexon received a price hike in November 2021, which is less than two months back. The petrol variants are now costlier by up to Rs. 13,000 and the diesel variants will cost up to Rs. 15,000 more.
Tata Nexon Petrol variants price hike
All variants except the XZ+ Dark of Tata Nexon petrol have witnessed a hike this time. The minimum price hike this time is Rs. 5,000 for the petrol variants. The petrol Tata Nexon is powered by the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol Revotron engine that churns out 120ps of power and a peak torque of 170Nm. It is available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT.
Tata Nexon Diesel variants price hike
Unlike the petrol variants, six diesel variants have not seen a price hike. That being said, it is the diesel that gets the maximum hike of Rs. 15,000. The XZ+ Dark variant of Tata Nexon Diesel has seen a reduction of Rs. 5,000 in the price! Moreover, Tata has introduced the XMA (S) variant to the diesel line-up. A 1.5-litre turbo-diesel Revotorq which churns out 110ps of power and a peak torque of 260Nm powers the diesel Tata Nexon. You get the same 6-speed MT and AMT as transmission options.
Tata Nexon and its rivals
Tata Nexon is one of the very few safest cars in the segment. Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300, and Renault Kiger share this sub-compact SUV space.
