Tata Altroz Automatic Confirmed for This Year!

It seems that India’s safest car maker is all set to take on the Indian automobile sector with a bang! As the brand plans to launch two of its best-selling models in a new avatar. First on the cards is the CNG version of the Tiago which has started to reach dealerships and now Tata has confirmed that they will be launching the automatic version of India’s safest premium hatchback, The Tata Altroz.

However, the tweet was deleted moments after it was done but till then everything was out and about. With its launch, the Tata Altroz will rival the likes of its sole competitor, The Hyundai i20, and the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI.

Tata Altroz Automatic: What’s on the Mechanical front?

• We can expect the same 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine capable of generating 86hp @6000RPMs (63.3kW).
• This automatic engine will come paired with a brand new DCT gearbox.
• We can expect this automatic Altroz to be almost 20kgs heavier than the ongoing model.

With a better, smoother, and reliable gearbox, the new Altroz facelift will come with a premium of Rs. 1,00,000. However, test mules of the automatic altroz have been spied testing on various terrains.

It is also speculated that Tata might as well introduce a CNG variant of its premium hatchback alongside its automatic variant.
