What are the new guidelines of No Toll by NHAI?
- The vehicle queue at any given time should not cross 100 meters mark. There will be a marking on every toll plaza for this.
- NHAI expects the toll time to be reduced to 10 seconds per vehicle during peak hours.
- If the queue surpasses the 100-meter line, the toll plaza will have to let go of vehicles in the front without any toll charges.
- If you are in a toll plaza that has a fault in the system, these norms will be applicable in that case too.
FASTags have already made the process at the Toll Plazas faster. According to NHAI, almost 96% of vehicles in a majority of states are using FASTags at the tolls.
