It looks like the ever shine period of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is about to end as going by latest media reports Korean auto giant Hyundai is gearing up to introduce another sub-4m SUV which will be placed alongside the existing Hyundai Venue and below the updated 2024 Hyundai Creta.
Some leading media resources also suggest that the all new Maruti Suzuki Fronx rival is suggested to be based on the all new platform which will also be used for the upcoming generation of the Hyundai i20 scheduled to launch by early 2026 alongside this sub-4 meter SUV set to rival the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the Toyota Taisor.
It is also being speculated that this new sub-4 meter SUV from Hyundai will be targeted towards the middle class segment and might cost somewhere between Rs. 10-13 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Some also suggest that upcoming sub-4 meter SUV might be based on the Hyundai Bayon sold overseas and resembles the likes of the existing Hyundai Verna but a bit more beefier.
On the mechanical front, it is expected to come with the same engine specifications as the Venue which are as follows- 1.2L NA petrol engine, 1.0 turbo petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. all these mechanical specifications come with both manual and automatic and iMT transmission.
