Aprilia, the Italian motorcycle maker, has launched the SXR125 scooter in India. It is based on the SXR160 scooter that is already on sale in our market. What all it has to offer? Let’s find out.
Aprilia SXR125: Engine
It shares the engine with SR125. The 125cc BS6 compliant engine is capable of producing 9.52ps of power and a peak torque of 9.2Nm. It is a 3-valve FI clean emission engine.
Design
You won’t be able to tell any difference between SXR125 and SXR160 apart from the engine. When it comes to the design part, it is somewhat identical to its 160cc twin. But it does get different LED Headlights which are inspired by the company’s RS660 supersport motorcycle.
Colour Options
Aprilia offers SXR125 in the following colour options:
- Matt Black
- Glossy White
- Matt Blue
- Glossy Red
What features can you expect from Aprilia SXR125?
You will be getting almost all the features that are currently on offer on the SXR160. You will get a USB charging port, 210cm sq. multifunctional digital instrument cluster and optional Bluetooth connectivity. The cluster has features like mileage indication, average speed, top speed, digital fuel indicator, time display and much more.
On the safety end, you won’t be getting ABS as it is mandatory only above 150cc. You will be getting CBS or the combi-braking system though.
Rivals and Price
It has been launched at a price of ₹1.15lakhs in India. It will rival the Suzuki Burgman which starts at ₹84,840. You can book yours by paying an amount of ₹5,000 through the website or at the showrooms after the lockdown is lifted.
