Tata Motors has launched a more rugged version of their safest hatchback in the segment, the Tata Tiago. Called the Tata Tiago NRG, it gets a few upgrades to make it more robust in nature. Though there are no changes at the powertrain front, some changes have been made to make it capable of more than the normal Tiago. 1. Tata Tiago NRG vs Tiago: Better Ground Clearance

   

   As NRG is supposed to be for those who love to travel roads less taken, Tata has added an extra 11mm of ground clearance to the hatch. While the Tiago gets a ground clearance of 170mm, Tiago NRG gets 181mm of it. 

2. NRG gets an SUV-ish treatment

   

   Apart from the raised height, you will also see body claddings around the Tiago NRG that make it feel more rugged and give it an SUV-ish look. It also adds 37mm to the overall length of the car.

3. You will get Push Start/Stop button in Tata Tiago NRG

   

   Say goodbye to the conventional key ignition as the Tata Tiago NRG gets push start/stop button. Tiago on the other hand has a conventional mechanism. The NRG also gets a keyless entry feature.

4. Some changes at the mechanical front and tyres

   

   Instead of the 15-inch alloy wheels, the all-new Tata Tiago NRG gets 15-inch Hyperstyle wheels with strong steel rims especially made for rugged driving. The NRG also gets a dual-path suspension that helps it tackle broken roads better.

5. Tata Tiago NRG vs Tiago: Cost Comparison

   While the Tiago starts at a price of ₹4,99,900 for the base variant and goes all the way up to ₹7,04,900, Tiago NRG only gets two variants, i.e. a manual and an automatic. The manual NRG will cost you ₹6,57,400 and the automatic one will put a hole of ₹7,09,400 in your pocket.
